W.O.A.C.C.

The Women of Action of Charles County (WOACC) was founded by Abena Affum McAllister following the Women’s March on Washington. Since it's origin, WOACC has focused on bringing awareness to issues and advocating for progressive change at the local, state, and national level. The organization is dedicated to empowering and supporting women and all people through mentoring, performing community service and offering educational opportunities, while aiming to promote social welfare to further the common good of the people in our community (i.e. civic betterment and social improvements). Our members have deep community connections and desire to promote positive outcomes for every one in our community.  WOACC is a group of women inclusive of all races, religions, cultures, sexual orientations and opinions. We believe in tolerance and acceptance for all.
